MediaOne Academy hosted a workshop for CREST (Centre for Research and Education for Social Transformation – Govt of Kerala) students pursuing postgraduate certificate courses for professional development. Mr. Rajeev Sankaran, Coordinating Editor, MediaOne TV, took the introductory class on journalism. Mr. Nishad Rawther, the senior news editor of MediaOne TV, has interacted with the students. Students were taken to the central desk and studio of MediaOne TV, where they got a demonstration of news flow and other technicalities of news broadcasting. In the afternoon, students got a practical class on videography and visual news story making. Students have got practical training in anchoring too. As a final result, students have produced their own news stories. Both the Academy and CREST consider this workshop a success. We are looking forward to working with CREST again.
