Infrastructure of MediaOne TV
Having been stationed at the MediaOne TV channel, the Academy provides a unique opportunity for students to utilize all technical facilities available at the channel for their training. These include state-of-the-art news studios, edit suites, shooting floors, production control room, master control room etc. Beyond all these students will get two month internship in both Media One and Madhyamam daily.
Production Facility
MediaOne Academy provides its students with the latest digital and HD equipment. Sufficient number of video and still cameras, digital and HD, are available for giving hands-on training.´ The academy provides Air-conditioned edit bays, sound studio, Enviable large shooting floor with required technical gadgets like tele- prompter, high-end lights, Zoom mike, etc, The institute aims at frequently updating its technology and capability of technical staff to keep pace with the changes in the market.
MediaOne Academy Theatre
MediaOne Academy has a full-fledged theatre for screening movies to the stakeholders. World classics and contemporary films are screened regularly for them at the theatre. The institution has a film club named ’Silma Talkies’. Cable TV and OTT platforms subscription facility are also available to students.
Smart classrooms
MediaOne Academy has smart classrooms with an uninterrupted power supply. The classrooms are equipped with LCD ceiling mount projectors, 120” inc screen for projection, computers and Internet for facilitating practice during the lecture sessions and lecture stand. classrooms provide ideal conditions for unleashing creative potentials of the students.´
Library
MediaOne Academy has an excellent and well-stuffed library. It has collected books and journals on different aspects of Mass communication like Print and TV Journalism, filmmaking, video production, and textual reference material. It also subscribes to all major newspapers and magazines. In addition, stakeholders can access library and digital archives of MediaOne, subject to approval by the Director. It serves both the academic and production needs of the students with the help of a rich collection of books, journals, films and music on Harddisks, USBs and cloud storage, etc. for students’ consultation and perusal.
Computer Lab
MediaOne Academy has a well-furnished computer Lab with a twenty-four hours internet connection. It supports regular lab activities, study, and academic research. Print students will get classes and training on InDesign through the lab and in due course, they will produce their lab journals using the same facilities of computer Lab.
