We screened the documentary film Holy Rights, directed by Farha Khatun, at the MediaOne Academy Theatre. Students from Malabar Christian College and SAFI College were also present for the screening. The documentary is about Bharatiya Muslim Mahila Andolan’s work on Muslim women’s divorce issues relating to triple talaq in India. Following the screening, we had a Q & A session with the director. Farha thoroughly explained the different stages of her production and answered questions from students with much care and passion.
