We are pleased to inform you that MediaOne Academy (in association with MediaOne TV) continues to offer structured 60 Or 120 hour internship opportunities exclusively for students enrolled in the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) across Kerala universities. These internships fully comply with the directives and mandates of the Kerala State Higher Education Council (KSHEC), align with the Kerala Internship Portal (internshipkerala.org) framework, and support the award of two OR Four academic credits (equivalent to the mandated 60 or 120 hour requirement).
As a premier media institution with state-of-the-art facilities in broadcasting, digital production, journalism, and technical operations at MediaOne TV (A leading Malayalam news channel), we provide authentic, hands-on training under industry mentorship.
Interns will complete a dedicated project in their chosen area such as producing a short news segment, editing a video piece, creating digital content, developing a podcast episode, conducting market research analysis, or contributing to broadcast engineering tasks under expert supervision. This ensures practical skill application, portfolio-building experience, and direct exposure to professional media workflows.

Eligibility Criteria
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in the FYUGP at any university/college affiliated with Kerala universities.
- Demonstrated interest in media, journalism, digital content, marketing, communication, or related technical fields (through academic projects, extracurricular activities, or prior experience).
- Commitment to completing the full 60 or 120-hour internship duration with minimum 95% attendance.
Batch Size Limits
- To ensure effective mentorship, personalized guidance, and optimal hands-on exposure:
- Minimum students per course/area: 10
- Maximum students per course/area: 40
How to Register and Apply
Required documents include:
- Logbook With Students name
- Student resume/CV
- Brief Statement of Purpose (SOP) (200–300 words) outlining motivation, relevant skills, and interest in the chosen media-related field
- Other Documents suggested by Kerala Higher Education Council
Review and Selection:
- Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis by the MediaOne Academy Internship Coordination Committee.
- We will coordinate directly for selection, scheduling, and on boarding.
- On boarding: Successful candidates/batches will undergo a mandatory orientation session covering MediaOne's operations, ethical guidelines in media/journalism, safety protocols, administrative procedures, and internship expectations prior to commencement.
Key Features and Compliance Details:
- Duration: 60 or 120 hours (as per KSHEC/University guidelines; completable within the first six semesters, including summer vacations/holidays).
- Training Module and Hours Assignment: Structured modules and hour allocations assigned in line with KSHEC mandates.
- Supervision: Guided and Mentored by experienced professional and Faculty in MediaOne TV external supervision provisions as required.
- Attendance Requirement: 95% mandatory for certification and credit fulfilment.
- Fee Structure: As per prevailing Kerala Internship Portal guidelines and KSHEC norms (details shared upon confirmation).
- Certification: Certificate issued by MediaOne Academy/MediaOne TV upon successful completion (attendance, performance evaluation, Project report submission), suitable for academic credit.
This initiative bridges academia and the media industry, equipping FYUGP students with practical skills for careers in journalism, digital media, marketing, and technical production. Interested colleges are invited to nominate students or apply for batch allotments (adhering to min. 10 – max. 40 per internship program). Slots are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
